Food rotation diets are not a new concept. It is many years now since Dr Theron Randolph first introduced his rotation diet which he developed for his patients in America. Dr Richard Mackarness, (in the UK) developed the Stone Age Diet. Dr Jonathan Maberly and Dr Honor Anthony and their staff at Airedale Allergy Cemtre developed their own rotation version of this diet and after my husband's treamant there and my own treatment at a clinic in York we have devised our own expanded version of this diet to give allergy sufferers as much choice and variety as possible to allow for likes and dislikes, existing allergies and intolerances as well as seasonal availabilty, expense etc.

I should point out that at first you may easily feel a good deal worse as you start to get withdrawal symptoms from your favourite "fixes". this will soon pass and if you keep a diary of your daily diet you should soon begin to identify which foods are causing you worst symptoms.

By reducing your toxic load to a large extent, you are giving your immune system a chance to do the job it was designed for, fighting infection!

I am, as you've probably gathered by now, a great believer in nutritional therapy. That's not to say we should never visit the doctor again! There are many instances where it would be foolhardy not to, and everyone should use their common sense about this.

But I believe that by reducing your body's toxic load and feeding your immune system with plenty of either filtered water (ideally from a plumbed in water filter with a high specification of filtration) or mineral water. Lots of fresh fruits and raw vegetables to provide you with a good supply of vitamins and minerals and live enzymes.

You also need good sources of protein, complex carbohydrates and essential oils for a well balanced diet. offering optimum nutrition. This way you are giving yourself and your family, a much better chance of fighting colds and flu and other infections and easing other unpleasant conditions as outlined in the introduction to my book.
